    AnotáciaFrom Charles de Gaulles´s concept of national independence to Nicolas Sarkozy´s effort to intensify the partnership with key actors of the euro-atlantic scene, however with all due respect regarding Gaulles´s original idea of France as a superpower, the present French attitude is clear. By its return to the allied command, it heads to point out the importance of the cooperation between NATO and EU in order to increase the effectiveness of their action for peace and world security. At the same time, France continues to prefer the autonomous military operations (without NATO´s helping hand through Berlin Plus Agreement), to show the practical value of the ESDP, to stimulate higher defense expenditures and to build up the tradition of intra-european cooperation
