    AnotáciaIn the last five decades, the share of oil in the world power consumption was approximately two fifths to two thirds, from which we can deduce that oil has remained the most important source of energy for a long time. No other raw material has generated so many international conflicts, serious feuds and commercial wars. On the one hand this is the cause of fast development, on the other hand this also causes a downfall of firms and of the economy of various countries. In the last century, oil has become a strategic raw material of extreme importance. In this study we have focused on the meaning and importance of oil and the change of its sources for Slovakia and on the analysis of the Russian – Belarussian problem.
