Produkt múzeí na trhu cestovného ruchu = Product of museums on tourism market / Kristína Pančíková, Ján Orieška. -- The aim of this paper is to point to the economic situation of museums in Slovakia, whose can be improved by product contributing to the growth of museums performances in the tourism market. The paper analyses secondary data from Register of museums and galleries in Slovakia and data from Slovak National Museum about performances of museums in the period from 2009 to 2014 by descriptive statistics. The analysis confirms uneven attendance and low revenues of museums from its own activities. Five most visited museums makes up 30 % of total attendance. Share of own revenues on total revenues of museums is in average only 15 %. In the foreground is therefore a complex product that can satisfy the primary and secondary needs of museums visitors, and thus brings additional revenues. The importance of the issue is confirmed by examples of foreign museums with a stable position in the tourism market.
