Grassland vegetation in the Javorie Mts. (Slovakia) / Eva Uhliarová. -- Bibl.: s. 50 - Over 1992-94, phytocoenological investigation of grassland was carried out.in the Javorie mountain range of central Slovakia (430-1044 m a.s.l, mean annual temperature 6.5°C, annual rainfall 699 mm). Ten various associations of Molinio-Arrhenatheretea class (Festuco–Cynosuretum, Anthoxantho-Agrostietum, Arrhenatheretum elatioris, Trifolio-Festucetum rubrae, Alopecuretum pratensis, Holcetum lanati, Trollius altissimus community, Scirpetum sylvatici, Caricetum caespitosae and Filipendulo–Menthetum) and residue of five other plant communities differing in their species composition, biodiversity, ecological conditions, sward management and herbage yield were found out on meadows and pastures of the studied area. There were 248 species of higher plants recorded in the analysed grassland, of which 21 species belonged to the protected and endangered species of the Slovak flora.
