Hegemónny status - cieľ vojensko politických stratégií USA / Juraj Kalický. -- The principal goal of this article is to analyse the US Cold War grand strategies through the military-historical approach. based on the realistic paradigm of international relatonships theory. The analysis is suppposed to confirm the given hypothesis saying that US foreign policy had started to follow hegemonial status since the beginning of the Cold War bipolar conflict in the previous century. By providing the above mentioned military-historical background, it focuses on geopolitical aspect and deals with the main factors that played a crucial role in the creation and implentation of respective grand strategies. The artcicle also takes into consideration the ratio of the use of power to the real existence of Soviets threats against USA, the effectiveness to harmonize the aims of particular strategies with US military- strategic potential
