    AnotáciaThe aim of this overview research study is to present the current trends in research on teachers based on a qualitative content analysis of more than 4000 educational studies and journal abstracts. Behind this procedure, there were two main questions a) to find out the trajectory of research on teachers during the last seven decades (diachronic view on research on teachers); and b) to reveal the present trends and focus of research on teachers under the influence of the current societal context across several countries of the world (synchronic view on research on teachers).
