Annotation© 2016, Univerzitet u Travniku. All rights reserved. The aim of this contribution is to find out and compare the level of general physical performance and the level of physical development of 7 14-year-old children in Banská Bystrica and compare them with measurements from the whole Slovakia. We tested 7, 10, and 14-year-old children from primary schools in Banská Bystrica: 492 children at the age of 7, including 252 boys and 240 girls, 433 children at the age of 10, including 220 boys and 213 girls, 301 children at the age of 14, including 164 boys and 137 girls. The following indicators of general physical performance were monitored: sit-and-reach, standing long jump, situps, flexed arm hang, shuttle run 4 x 10 m, endurance shuttle run. Also basic somatic indicators such as body height, body weight and BMI were found out. The boys from Banská Bystrica achieved better level in 5 tests of general physical performance than girls. The girls achieved statistically better level of trunk flexibility in all age categories and the difference in favor of girls is steadily increasing. Physical development of boys and girls in younger school age is similar. After the tenth year, we found out rapid development more significant for boys. In comparison with the previous research on the whole Slovak population 20years ago, we noted a lower level of general physical performance, except the flexed arm hang test but a higher level of physical development of group of boys and girls from Banská Bystrica.

Annotation© 2016, Univerzitet u Travniku. All rights reserved. The study have presented findings from the field of condition and level of musculoskeletal system of women at the age of adolescence (n = 66, age = 18.1±1.2 years, height = 167.6±3.9cm, weight = 57.6±5.3kg) with intention to pain as manifestation of functional disorder. The level of women´ musculoskeletal system was diagnosed by doctor (specialist) during the September 2015 by standardized methods based on clinical medicine. The results have significantly confirmed that functional disorders in the field of women´ musculoskeletal system have been without organic, orthopedic and neurologic disorders. We have found out that there has been a significant relationship (p<0.05) between the pain in cervical area of spine and functional condition of m. trapezius pars descendens and m. levator scapulae. What is more, there has existed significant relation (p<0.05) between lumbal spine area and flexors of lumbar joint, as well as has shared pain in already mentioned area. The above findings have correlated (r, p<0.05) with motion stereotypes of posture in already mentioned areas.

On this race was his average walking frequency of 198 steps per minute. On the World championship, when he won, he reached his heart rate is 159 bpm average value (91.9% ANP), at an average pace of 4:25 min.km-1.In this race was his average walking frequency of 197 steps per minute.

Annotation© 2016, Univerzitet u Travniku. All rights reserved. This work is a result of our pedagogical research aimed at obtaining and enlarging the knowledge on evolution changes in the body posture of boys aged 11 15 and possibilities of influencing them by means of compensatory exercises within the framework of physical education (P.E.). and sport lessons. Object of the study were 17 boys attending elementary school in Nitra, who were observed in consecutive years (grades 6 through 9). Totally 5 measurements of body posture were executed. Between the measurements 2 and 3 experimental factor was implemented during a 4-month-long period. The method by Klein and Thomas modified by Mayer (1978) was used for the assessment and classification of body posture. High incidence of wrong body posture was found in all 11 – 15-year-old boys regarding their age. Results of the experiment showed positive effect of application of aimed exercises within P.E. and sport lessons, focusing on influencing wrong body posture, which was significantly manifested by correct body posture. After finishing the experiment without any adequate compensatory procedures the motor system of observed boys reacted by the onset of reversible changes, thus increasing the incidence of indicators of the body posture. There was a shift from 2nd and 3rd qualitative grade into the 4th one in boys (p < 0.05).Based on the results we can state that by early and suitable impacting of wrong body posture of children aged 11 – 15 years we can reach improvement.

Annotation© 2016, Univerzitet u Travniku. All rights reserved. The aim of the present study was to analyze the influence of oxygen concentrate inhalation on underwater swimming performance in students from the Department of Physical Education and Sports in BanskáBystrica. The test group consisted of 17 students (9 males: age = 21.14± 1.78 years, height= 176.4± 6.3 cm, weight= 66.2 ± 8.7 kg, and 8 women: age = 20.98± 1.54 years, height= 169.2± 4.2 cm, weight= 60.6± 4.5 kg). The test group carried out the testing over two consecutive days, where their task was to inhale oxygen concentrate/placebo for 2 minutes after a 5-minute collective warm-up and 500 meters of swimming. Subsequently, the role of the test group was to swim the maximum distance underwater with one inspiration and simultaneously push off the edge of the pool. Paired-Samples T-test (t, a = 0.05) was used to establish the significance of differences between the distance of underwater swimming after oxygen concentrate inhalation and distance after the application of the placebo. Cohen’s coefficient “d” was used for the calculation of effect size. Statistical analysis was realized with software IBM® SPSS® Statistics V19. The test results showed the average individual differences between oxygen and placebo of 6.89% (2.3 meters). Statistical analysis proved that the difference between the distance after oxygen concentrate inhalation and after the application of the placebo was significant (t(16) =10.101, p < 0.05, d = 2.45 – large effect).
