AnnotationCohort analysis becomes currently more and more important from the perspective of managing performance of the cohort referred to as the generation Y. The youngest and at the same time the most numerous generation of three generations of working age entered the Slovak labour market several years ago. It differs from the older generations X and Baby boomers especially in the requirement of continual change, communication and utilization of digital interactive technologies. The author deals with personal characteristics of generation Y members, important aspects of employer’s selection, characteristics of their working behaviour and recommendations for employers, which may help to develop the potential of young employees in favour of the company. This work presents the results of the research which was realized on the research sample of a younger group of generation Y at the Faculty of Economics of Matej Bel University
