AnnotationThe COVID-19 pandemic has changed consumer behavior due to various restrictions and increased degrees of ICT use. By establishing and verifying the validity of the hypotheses, we aim to compare intensities of mutual correlations that indicate changes in consumer behavior depending on the degree and nature of changes in selected socio-demographic or socio-economic factors. The statistical evaluation of the answers obtained in surveys of representative samples of 987 respondents from the Slovak Republic (implemented in 2021 about the dual quality of goods sold in the EU) and also the answers of 347 respondents (in 2022 aimed at changes in Slovak consumer behavior) will be carried out with multivariate analyses using the SPSS program. The outputs indicated that during self-isolation periods, Slovak consumers bought more or the same amount as before the pandemic; shopping habits were mainly changed by women and groups with lower household income. Test subjects preferred the quality products and products posing the least amount of risk to health. All consumers intend to continue to shop through e-commerce platforms where they prefer a more personal experience (through social media or YouTube). Low-income people’s budgets are threatened by cheap products and poor distribution of spending, especially among young people. We recommend simplifying personalized visualized sales and education content and e-methods of information sharing also in order to make them accessible to digitally disadvantaged groups (according to income, age, education, etc.). The use of blockchains increases transparency of production and sales value chains, reducing the occurrence of unfair practices, and promoting participatory public dialogue.

AnnotationThe aim of this paper is to examine how the use of ICT can increase own and general awareness, and how this will affect the transparency of the value chain. We assume that the level of the use of ICT as a tool to unify access, analysis and reporting can increase the quality of knowledge awareness, which can increase the transparency of business across the EU. We will examine the extent of their use to support communication in the field of information obtaining and sharing on issues of dual quality of daily consumption products sold in the European Union. The possibilities of the Power BI in the process of analysis and report the answers to the questions of a questionnaire survey aimed at obtaining an overview of the personal attitudes and preferences of 987 Slovak consumers on the researched issues are used. As a conclusion, we will summarize how a measure of general knowledge can increase business transparency and the level of customer satisfaction. The development of a new methodology to examine the different composition of food products with the same label across the EU is a good example how to improve the functioning of food supply chains

AnnotationManagement functions were developed first as a systematic step to carry out management activities, while implementation of the information components followed as part of management elements. The authors point out that the use of the possibilities and advantages of quantitatively supported managerial decisions gives managers the ability to quantify the impacts of both technical (hard) and subjective (soft)constraints and improve managerial decision-making processes that would otherwise be based mostly on personal intuition and experience. To achieve the goals and benefits of excellent performance, it is necessary to design and develop integrated models that would coordinate management functions and information system components as an integrated process. These facts are presented in various case studies

AnnotationThe development of all dimensions of digitization, in particular the global Internet penetration into most business areas, creates a better condition for sharing technology. Start-up and spin-off companies, supported by university centres, directly support the transfer of the latest technology into practice. Using the model of economic management, the effectiveness of such economics will be researched. Practices and recommendations that should eliminate barriers to successful spin-offs and start-ups as well as SMEs doing business in competitive area will also be proposed. The assessment of the views of 189 managers of Slovak SMEs and 26 managers of IT companies creates the opportunity to assess the extent to which companies want to apply innovation opportunities and IT potential in practice as a driver of changes. These results will be compared with the results of similar research in the EU. The verification of the mutual dependencies of selected indicators using statistical methods and validation tools that are part of the SPSS program will be provided. Based on the synthesis of all knowledge and experience, it will be suggested to managers the ways how to apply technology transfer and regulatory treatment of sharing economy in practice as effeectlyiv as possible

AnnotationThe satisfied customer is a customer who appreciates the quality of the goods and recommends them to others. Achieving a high level of satisfaction is not easy, as he is often well-informed, is awaiting something new, looking for new experiences and ways of accessing it, and prefers their easy availability, often on demand. The way how to improve its level of satisfaction lie in exploiting the innovation potential that creates the basic assumptions for the sharing economy. That economy does not create a new market or new customer; its aim is to offer services in other ways or in a new form with the aim of satisfying as widely as possible the various demands of customers. According to the fact that especially young people prefer to use new ways of acquiring their experiences or to change their forms of availability, the use of technologies and IoE takes your place in these processes. The obstacle in this process is the need to rapidly develop smart solutions or devices that meet the broad customer requirements. In this process, spin-off and start-up companies, supported by university centers, have a great potential as they directly support the transfer of the latest technology into practice. Summarizing the best practice solutions, we should eliminate barriers to successful spin-offs and start-ups as well as SME business doing in competitive practice. Using the model of sharing economy, the effectiveness of such economics will be researched. Using the survey method, we will evaluate the views of 189 managers of Slovak SMEs and 26 managers of IT companies related to the enhancing the use of innovation opportunities and IT potential in practice. Comparing our research results with the results of similar research activities in the EU, we try to identify the barriers that prevent them from exploiting their potential using the statistical methods and validation tools that are part of the SPSS program. Based on the analysis and synthesis of research outputs, we summarize the recommendations how to improve customer satisfaction with ways of sharing goods using the latest technology and related platforms

AnnotationThe study describes the importance and the function of competition analysis within marketing activities. The aim of the article is to review the role and the meaning of marketing analysis, especially the competition analysis and its importance within the decision- making process of managers. It searches mutual dependence between the rate of realizing marketing activities and carrying out the competition analysis as a basic tool of knowledge of external business environment. It investigates opinions of employees in 189 Slovak SMEs about the importance and the function of the competition analysis within business activities. We searched our assumptions within three categories of the companies: the companies with established marketing department or work position, the companies doing marketing activities within other departments or work positions and the companies where nobody does marketing. The conclusions of the analysis enable Slovak SMEs to consider the importance and the function of marketing and marketing analysis
