The aim of this study was to compare the satisfaction with life scores between active and inactive members of the population with different health statuses. Participants (n=664) were divided into two groups based on their health status: a) healthy population (HP,n=313,female=126); and b) people with non-communicable diseases (NCDs; n=351; female=185). The Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) between active and inactive individuals of the population (HP,NCDs) was used. Quantitative variables were presented as the mean of the standard deviation and range. The Pearson chi-square test was used to determine the differences between active and inactive within each population group. We found that the lowest level of LS was presented by inactive people with NCDs with 20.8±7.8 points indicating that this group have neutral LS.

Annotation© 2016,Univerzitet u Travniku. All rights reserved. The aim of the study was to diagnose and analyse the changes in functional parameters and physical performance during phases of menstruation cycles of female university students. The experimental sample consisted of three female university students (age = 23.8±0.6 years) who had a regular menstruation cycle (MC) with the length of 28 days. The functional status of the students was diagnosed by the Ruffier functional test. Parameters of the physical performance were two chosen tests: reaction time (RT) measured by FiTRO Agility Check device; tapping frequency (TFLL) measured by a FiTRO tapping device. The best functional status of each student was diagnosed in the III. phase (ovulation). Each student achieved the best physical performance in RT test during the II. phase of the menstruation cycle (post menstruation, follicular). Student 1 and student 2 proved the best physical performance in the TFLL test during the II. phase of the menstruation cycle (post menstruation, follicular). Except mentioned parameters we detected and analysed the subjective feelings, which helped us in further results’ interpretation. Our probe is a preliminary study to monitor possible variations in chosen parameters of physical performance and functional parameter.

AnnotationThe aim of the study was to find out the relationship between tapping frequency of lower limbs and vertical jump heightin elite Slovak soccer players (n = 41, age = 23.6±4.8 years, height = 180.9±7.1cm, weight = 77.3±7.5kg). The level of tapping frequency of lower limbs (TF) was diagnosed by device FiTROtapping, (FiTRONIC, Bratislava, Slovak Republic). The criterion of performance evaluation of every measured soccer player was total number of contacts with both legs on contact mats of mentioned device during 6 s in a standing position. Vertical jump heights were measured by 2 types of vertical jumps with the device FiTROJumper, (FiTRONIC, Bratislava, Slovak Republic): Squat jump (SJ) a Countermovement jump (CMJ). Pearson correlation coefficient (r, α = 0.05) was used for determination of difference significance between observed parameters (TF – SJ; TF – CMJ). Statistical analysis showed linear dependency between TF and SJ (r = 0.45, p<0.05) and as well as between TF and CMJ (r = 0.49, p<0.05)

Annotation© 2016,Univerzitet u Travniku. All rights reserved.Study’s objective was to find out the effect of the training programme on the development of speed, explosiveness and agility through selected tests. The programme focused on the development of different types of speed and agility and was applied to a group of 10 female playersof Premier League basketball team BDŽ ŠK UMB Banska Bystrica in Slovakia. The average age of the group was 20.4±2.2 years, the average body height was 170.3±7.7 cm and the average body weight was 64±6.9 kg.Fitro Agility Check Desk Test was the test of reaction rate in which a statistically and substantively significant difference was observed during the experimental period (T = 0,n = 10,p < 0.05,r = 0.63 large effect).Similar situation was observed in the 5 metres linear acceleration running (t = 4.457,n = 10,p < 0.05,d = 1.41 large effect) and in the 10 metres linear acceleration running (t = 5.775,n = 10,p < 0.05,d = 1.83 large effect),where the significant improvement was identified. We observed the major improvement in the Countermovement Jump, which was confirmed also by the coefficients of statistical and substantive significance (t =14.354 p < 0.05,d = 4.54).Modified Pro Agility Testalso showed the improvement (T = 11,n = 10,p > 0.05),which is confirmed by the substantive significance level = 0.38medium effect. Major improvement was not observed in the Lane Agility Test (t = 0.904,n = 10,p > 0.05,d = 0.29 small effect).Considering this fact we state that selected intervention programme was suitable mainly for the development of reaction rate,agility,short-term change of direction speed and linear acceleration speed only within the shorter period of time, the major difference was not identified in longer period of time (more than 12 s) and in the introduction of bigger number of direction changes and activity character.

Annotation© 2016,Univerzitet u Travniku. All rights reserved. The importance of shooting free throws in relation to winning in basketball in current league games plays a crucial role, affecting various internal,as well as external factors. The aim of the study was to analyze selected internal and external factors determining successful shooting of free throws in basketball among youth players of the Slovak national basketball team. The monitored group consisted of four players of basketball team ŠKP Banská Bystrica, which plays in the Slovak Higher Cadet League,Slovak First Men League,as well as the Slovak Extraleague Eurovia SBL. In terms of data obtaining of monitored phenomena,we used direct observation,as well as an interrogative method of two standardized questionnaires by Gurský (2015) processed by casuistry and primary statistics. The results showed among players determinism of monitored internal and external factors that were reflected in successful shooting of free throws in basketball in association with elevation angle of shooting and angular velocity of a ball,as well as in relation to heart rate,as an expression of typology of players and management of stress during neutral, positive and negative impulses. Mental endurance of players and mastering of fundamentals "free throw shooting" are a prerequisite of high-quality performance of the players,as well as of the team itself. The stated findings point out the fact and importance of shooting free throws in relation to winning basketball games. Therefore,we urge for practice to put in use game load,as well as to intensify volume of free throw shooting in training processes during neutral, positive and negative impulses.

AnnotationThe aim of the study was to find out the level and relationship between tapping frequency of lower limbs and vertical jump height in elite Slovak soccer defenders (n = 15, age = 25.4±5.2 years, height = 181.2±5.0cm, weight = 78.0±6.5kg). The average level of TF was indicated by number 58.5±5.5 of contacts on device FiTROtapping. The average performance in the test of SJ was 36.3±4.0cm and in the test of CMJ was 37.3±4.4cm from the point of view of jump abilities. Statistical analysis showed linear dependency between TF and SJ (r = 0.54, p < 0.05) and as well as between TF and CMJ (r = 0.52, p < 0.05)
