The evolution of multiplicity distribution of a species which undergoes chemical reactions can be described with the help of a master equation. We study the master equation for a fixed temperature, because we want to know how fast different moments of the multiplicity distribution approach their equilibrium value. We particularly look at the 3rd and 4th factorial moments and their equilibrium values from which central moments, cumulants and their ratios can be calculated. Then we study the situation in which the temperature of the system decreases. We find out that in the non-equilibrium state, higher factorial moments differ more from their equilibrium values than the lower moments and that the behaviour of the combination of the central moments depends on the combination we choose. If one chooses to determine the chemical freeze-out temperature from the measured values of higher moments, these effects might j URL Link na zdrojový dokument Public work category AFC No. of Archival Copy 47132 Catal.org. We demonstrate the use of Event Shape Sorting in femtoscopy. The method allows to select events with similar distributions if hadrons in azimuthal angle. We show that also their correlation radii exhibit interesting dependence on azimuthal angle with anisotropies of different orders visible at the same time. We further demonstrate such features of the hadron distribution which can be hardly recognised by Event Shape Engineering, but shows up in Event Shape Sorting. Finally, the influence of statistical fluctuations on sorting is investigated. URL Link na zdrojový dokument Public work category AFC No. of Archival Copy 47134 Catal.org. We formulate a baseline model for the net-proton number fluctuations in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions. Our model includes total baryon number conservation, fluctuations of the participating nucleon number, limited acceptance, and a possibility that isospin is remembered by the participating wounded nucleons. Most importantly, we formulated the model as consisting of two components: wounded nucleons and the produced nucleon-antinucleon pairs. Those two components have different rapidity distributions. Owing to this feature we obtain also predictions for the rapidity dependence of the cumulants of the net-proton number distribution and their ratios.
