| Annotation | We have described the spatial distribution of destructive morphogenetic form above the timberline and their functional dependence on selected landscape-ecological factors of alpine areas. Ďumbierske Tatry Mts. are the western part of Nízke Tatry Mts. situated in the central Slovakia. Model territory has some 9500 hectares where 698 hectares of destructed morphogenetic forms had developed. The common signs of their distribution are presence on N, NW and S exposition, on slopes steeper than 25°, in elevation higher than 1600 m a. s. l. and were created on deluvial sediments – coarse-grained debris. Typical soils are podzols and lithosols or rankers, ergo sandy-loams and loamy sands |
