Various pathophysiological mechanisms are involved in the development of medial tibial stress syndrome. A higher incidence of medial tibial stress syndrome is associated with foot hyperpronation and higher body mass index. The patient’s clinical examination plays an important role in diagnosis. The main symptom is pain in the posteromedial part of the shin and palpable. Another important diagnostic sign is pain exacerbated by exercise. Several biomechanical factors are involved in the development of medial tibial stress syndrome. Conservative treatment is most common in the treatment of medial tibial stress syndrome. Rehabilitation therapies are a significant part of the treatment with good outcomes. URL Link na zdrojový dokument Link na plný text Public work category ADM No. of Archival Copy 50175 Catal.org.
