The main issue for managers is to determine how to stabilise personnel numbers and reduce employee turnover. The main aim of this paper is therefore to identify the key factors that affect employee turnover and personnel stability in Slovak hotels. The research was conducted in selected hotels operating in Slovakia. The results revealed that poor career prospects and non-transparent and unfair remuneration have the greatest impact on employee turnover and personnel stability. It was also shown that personnel stability is mostly influenced by an appropriate corporate culture and personal recognition.
