$a This monograph presents the phenomenon of language as the human product – product of ego. As humans we use language everyday to live and communicate. We have created words that give sound and meaning to objects and abstract concepts as well as created grammatical structures to give form to the messages we convey. The human language is a culturally specific communication system. The main aim of this monograph is to show the diversity of the world perception by the medium of language which is used by different nations - it means, we try to detect the correlative analogies and differences. Here are analysed four typological different languages: Slovak as the representative of the Slavic languages and at the same time the mother tongue of the authors, German as the representative of the Germanic languages, Italian as the representative of the Romance languages and Arabic as the representative of the Semitic languages. The descriptive theoretical point of view with the elements of exemplification is the main method used to achieve the defined aim. Within the frame of our research we are oriented at the above-mentioned languages and at the way how the entities of time, action and self-reflection of subject, substance and world projection are presented in these languages. In the centre of our interest is not just isolated language and its representative (nation) but also the comparative view. All the examples are excerpted from the domestic and foreign special literature, fiction and journalistic texts. The world is changing much more rapidly and we can notice an influence of globalisation so the knowledge of foreign cultures through our own culture is an important aspect for current and next generation. Cieľom práce je odhaliť rozmanitosť vnímania sveta prostredníctvom jazyka jednotlivých subjektov-národov, ich prejavov ega a prezentovať ich vzájomné analógie a divergencie
