In June 2019, the Slovak Republic submitted a report on the status of habitats and species (reporting) according to Article 17 of Directive No. 92/43 / EEC ('Habitats Directive') for the period 2013–2018, which also assessed the status of the Eurasian otter for the Alpine and Pannonian bioregion in Slovakia. Since 2013 the State Nature Conservancy of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with external experts has been carrying out monitoring of the Eurasian otter at 149 permanent monitoring sites. The following article summarizes the monitoring and reporting results of the Eurasian otter in Slovakia.
