Corporate social responsibility is not only an essential part of effective management in successful companies, but also a precondition globalization. At present, the corporate social responsibility should be seen not only in theory, but mainly at the level of business practice. Benefits of the corporate social responsibility are not only companies and their stakeholders, but also society. This fact inspires many large enterprises to start up a socially responsible business. The paper deals with the Corporate social responsibility concept and its implementation in the chemical industry in Slovak republic. The aim of the article is basically on the theories of corporate social responsibility to identify the level of application of this concept in chemical industry in the Slovak republic.
