    AnnotationIn September 2008 was to the school system in Slovakia introduced the reform of the educational process on the basis of the approval of the new Education Act. In this contribution the author focuses on the detection of changes in teaching sports games in relation to that reform. It examines the difference in the content of teaching sport games in schools, before and after the introduction of the National Education programme (SVP), through which the Ministry of Education sets out the general objectives of the school curriculum framework and educational standards for the various educational levels. SVP became the basis for the establishment of individual school curriculum (ŠkVP). Based on analysis of available materials, the author found that in terms of changes as a crucial can be considered reduction in the number of hours that are available to teachers for teaching in the compulsory section. Almost in the half of studied ŠkVP (46.5%), all required teaching time to invest predominantly in the classical teaching of traditional sports football, basketball and volleyball. On the first place in the temporal subsidies (hours) are sports games before and also after September 2008. Only 19 teachers (ŠkVP) should attempt to bring something new and specific - such as increasingly popular game floorball, or suitable for TV school play futsal (instead of football). On the basis of discussions we conclude that the teachers after the second year of the reform still identify more with the new SVP, evaluate it positively and believe that it will contribute to the attractiveness of physical and sport education.
